Spike Lee retro exhibition

A campaign concept built on Spike Lee’s success in Film. From his direct approach to African American stereotypes, addressing the mindsets in previously framed contexts, my concept of ‘touch the nerves’ attempts to create an edgy sensation. The main visual outcome is confronting and uncomfortable by the incoming hammer and multiple imprints of the sharp surface with highly vibrant colours. There is a pain and pinch association to give audiences an awakening of their senses and perceptions of modern cultures and society. My approach to feedback changed in the development process of this project, as I became less concerned by ‘good’ comments and found value in critique or options to consider.
